Hi, I'm Rebecca, and I'm a professional illustrator and comic book artist.
I have been using this tumblr since 2010, when me and my fellow art college seniors would refer to our thesis class as "Dumbleday". I reblog art, information, fandom, and funny things. I also draw fan art sometimes and answer questions.

SKY // WINGS is a Poe Dameron fan zine drawn by Rebecca Mock (me), based on the Star Wars: TFA fan fiction “To the Sky Without Wings” by @leupagus. Poe Dameron first meets Luke Skywalker as a child and grows to admire him over time, and later comes to have an embarrassing (unrequited) crush. This is a tribute and homage to Star Wars: The Force Awakens and its surrounding fandom. It is a Poe/Luke fan comic. It is rated for teen-audiences-and-up for cussing and and underage drinking.
This is a 9" x 7.5" B/W zine with a full-color cover, 20 pages. It contains 2 short stories, 1 4-panel comic and 3 sketch pages.
This is a pre-order. I will be CLOSING the pre-order on November 7th and shipping books out starting a week afterwards! BUT you can buy the PDF version anytime.
also, you can buy the Ghengis Khan patch at my store while supplies last. I’ll start shipping them out with the books.
How does a book get made? What are the steps of ideas to character design to creating that final finished work? Hope Larson and Rebecca Mock, creators of the new midd-grade adventure graphic novel Compass South, take you along their creative journey in this exciting blog tour.
Finn, Rey, and Poe seem like the kind of people who’d have a relationship that requires a very strict ratio of 2 human disasters to 1 mature adult, and they rotate turns about who has to be responsible.
Like Poe comes back from a meeting to find Rey and Finn both wearing buckets on their head as they blindly sock wrestle (half a dozen pilots in a circle around them, egging them on) and Poe’s first thought is, “shit, they’re both already wrestling so I have to be referee.”
When I was probably 12 I would type “anime image gallery” or something like that into the google search bar, and This Website was the first hit. Amber Anime Archive. It was a TREASURE TROVE. It was in integral part of my journey to becoming a huge nerd. and I think about it all the time, and it no longer exists but you can still see the front page if you put the url into wayback machine.
I probably still have the hi-res scans form this site saved to a CD somewhere. This was like, an important website. I want Jeff Bailey to know he ruined my life, and to thank him.
